We put it out on all social media that they were sad and hanging there heads, getting ready for the harvest of the seeds. We were overwhelmed with the response and didn’t realize our web site was not up to date. We are a family farm, and we all work 14 hours a day trying to keep all the veggies healthy and picked for our customers, so this slipped by us.

We plan for a longer season next year, with multiple plantings, as the blooms only last about 2 weeks, all depending on the weather.

Watch for more info for next years blooming dates, hopefully earlier in July!

  • 1 (8oz.) package light Neufchatel cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cup (6oz.) shredded Monterey Jack and Colby cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup light sour cream
  • 1 1/3 cup salsa, divided
  • 2 cups chicken fajita strips, thawed
  • 1 package flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup chopped tomato
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cream cheese, 1 cup cheese, sour cream, 1/3 cup salsa and chicken breast fajita strips; mix well. Place approximately 1/4 cup cream mixture down the center of each flour tortilla; roll up. Place seam side down in a lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Top with remaining salsa and cheese. Cover; bake 25 minutes; remove cover. Continue baking 5-10 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Top with lettuce and tomato. Serve with additional sour cream and salsa, if desired. Makes 6 servings.

    • 3 T cooking oil
    • 1# beef stew meat
    • 1/4 c flour
    • 1 yellow onion diced
    • 1/4 t salt
    • 1/4 t pepper
    • 3 c. water
    • 2 c chopped carrots
    • 3 c peeled diced potatoes
    • 2 c peas or corn
    • 4 t catsup

    Heat oil  in large pan on medium.

    Shake meat in bag with the flour, coating well.

    Add meat to hot oil, brown on both sides.

    Add onion, salt, pepper.

    Cook until all is browned.

    Add water, scraping the bottom of the pot.

    Bring to boil then turn down and simmer, covered, for 1 hour, stirring and scraping occasionally.

    Add carrots, bring to boil, then simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.

    Add potatoes, bring to boil, then simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.

    Add peas and catsup.

    Stir well, reheat gently.

    Give thanks to the Lord and Enjoy!!!

    1 envelope dry yeast 4 c flour
    1 1/2 c. lukewarm water 3 t. salt
    1 1/2 t. sugar 1 egg beaten
    Coarse Salt

    Dissolve yeast in water in a large bowl.

    Add sugar and salt.

    Mix in the flour and knead until dough is soft and smooth.

    Divide immediately into smaller pieces and roll into ropes.

    Let the children form the ropes into circles and pretzel shapes.

    Place on a cookie sheet covered with foil and dusted with flour.

    Brush each pretzel with the beaten egg mixed with a little water and sprinkle with coarse salt.

    Bake at 400 degrees until brown. About 10 minutes.

  • 1 head lettuce, torn into small pieces
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 medium carrots, shredded
  • 6-8 slices of bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 package of frozen peas
  • 2 cups of mayonnaise
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • In a large salad bowl, layer ingredients in the order given. Do not mix.

    Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate overnight.
